This is the about section, wherein we splurge egotistic speel about ourselves and the grander intentions that we (video killed the radio star (dot org)) have.
what's it all about then sir?
video killed the radio star (dot org) is a multi-national conglomerate with the aim of pleasing our shareholders. Our headquarters is based in Canary Wharf (read: Cardiff Student Union/The Flora). We formed with the original purpose of taking song lyrics and analysing them satirically; now that mandate (mission statement if you will) has extended to looking at other things like music videos, adverts and miscellaney (yes, miscellaney).
and sorry, who are you?
Tom Barnett and David Jani met in a bookshop (true story), happened to be doing the same course and there really the story loses all relevance. Tom decided that the world needed video killed the radio star, drafted some articles, started making the site and used Dave as a sounding board; Dave liked the idea of it, also decided that the world needed video killed the radio star, and here we are today. Tom is really busy and in-between the busyness he has a degree; Dave meanwhile is really busy with a degree. One has priorities, the other doesn't - it's down to you to decide who is who. One is 20 and the other 21, one a Bristol City obsessive and the other a loather of the beautiful game. Et cetera, Et Cetera.

getting involved
So you want to get involved then - well, that's just brilliant! Even if you can only manage an article a month or even if you just want to do one piece and one piece only, well, you are more than welcome to give us a shout! We will try and use any contributions (although we reserve the right to make some editorial corrections - these will be emailed back to you before we publish it though!) - if you have a contribution and want to email it to us, then please email me (tom) at tom at videokilledtheradiostar dot org, replacing the applicable stuff with, er, the applicable stuff.
If you'd like to get involved on a more "permanent" basis then pretty much just do the same as above (email us a piece) and then say so, and we'll do our best to ensure that you get involved. so thats tom at videokilledtheradiostar dot org or if tom is being silly and smelly and not replying, it's always worth trying dave over at dave at videokilledtheradiostar dot org.
